'New Collective' s exhibition PERSONAL LOVE at Gallery Nectar.

New Collective is a non-profit organization, whose main target is improvement and analyses of social situation trough art.
As a young woman artists we work on a questions like what is the position of Georgian culture in contemporary art world, on the background of globalization what are the fears it has about loosing “georgianity”, what is the potential it has in the era of the Digital and technological, why are Contemporary language, forms and mediums almost always adopted to something dangerous for Georgian Culture?
We want to examine what is the relation of new generation towards Georgian culture in a contemporary art world. The message of Georgian artists today, the subjects young artists work on, Generation which Is born in independent Georgia, which was grown up surrounded by colonial and nationalistic complexes but is free from it. We were grown up in an environment which is left after collapse of huge structure, in which we never lived and its always on the level of tale for us. We are not post soviet, we are post post soviet, post anarchy, post nationalistic, POST LOGGIA generation. ( LOGGIA means the additional room construction on the building, self dependent house planning which was not considered by the architect itself, but is the decision of resident of the house itself. Loggia doesn’t mean only the architectural form but rather it’s a face of social understanding for that time, when people were acting without any regulations and laws in social and political frame, there is meant the period from 90’s 10 or 15 years ).
Advice to the young is a project which consist of several parts: installations, Video and Sound performance, Procedural and Participatory works in exhibition space, we are going to build an exhibition where the relation between artist and viewer is the most important. Artists will try to listen to the advices and build up their works out of it.
